The largest ever Health Awareness and Check-Up Camp held at D Y Patil Stadium, Nerul has been recognized as the latest record-breaking event and officially marked its entry in the Guinness Book Of World Records for the Largest Health Awareness Lesson (Single Venue), today. The health education and awareness camp organized by Dr. Shri Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Prathishthan received an overwhelming response. Over 1.5 lakh people from Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Thane, Pune, and other adjacent cities who attended the camp not only received counseling from specialists and doctors but also got appropriate guidance on various health issues.
The event was flagged off by Shri. Appasaheb Dharmadhikari, the present head of Dharmadhikari family. The camp was participated by over 1200 experienced and qualified doctors across diverse people taking treatment at the camp specialties like cardiology, gynecology, and diabetology to name a few, and more than 5,000 paramedics and volunteers.
“Good health is very important for leading a happy life. We all know this; however, on most occasions, we tend to neglect taking care of our health as we are caught up in the busy daily routines of our lives. We hope that the camp will benefit you in the best possible ways. Use this to not only educate yourself in primary healthcare but also have your health issues addressed”, said Shri Appasaheb Dharmadhikari.
Each team of doctors was assisted by qualified pharmacists, nurses, and other paramedical staff. There were 500 registration counters across 16 blocks to register the patient’s primary complaints and case papers were issued accordingly. Also, a sufficient number of ambulances were deployed with doctors and medicines to attend to any emergencies. The camp also provided information about central and state government health schemes (Health Yojnas), and health insurance facilities.
