About the
Program
This is a three year program recognised by the Medical Council of India. The program involves rotational postings in the departments of Preventive and Social Medicine, General Medicine, TB and Chest Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The focus of the program is on development of clinical and practical skills in the field, which are gained during regular visits to our Urban and Rural Health Centre. The involvement of the department and hospital in various National Heath Programmes, helps in understanding the dynamics of Public Health.
Organisational , and Planning skills are taught in the process of the innumerable camps organised by the department. This practical knowledge is backed by lectures, seminars , journal clubs and case discussions to provide a sound theoretical base to the student. The course gives excellent clinical and research experience to the student. It facilitates development of excellent Planning and Organisational Skills , along with a sound judgement in the practice of Preventive and Social Medicine.
