Programme
The Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) at the DYPU-School of Public Health is a full-time undergraduate programme of 4 years. It is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This interdisciplinary programme is strategically designed to address the escalating demand for professionals capable of navigating complex public health landscapes. By synthesizing principles from medicine, social sciences, policy, and management, the programme develops versatile graduates equipped to strengthen public health infrastructure.
A core component of the degree is the integration of experiential learning by including internships, fieldwork, and research project enabling students to apply theoretical frameworks to practical challenges. Furthermore, the curriculum prioritises the development of interpersonal communication alongside technical expertise in Biostatistics, Data Science, and Analytics, ensuring graduates are highly competitive in the global health sector.

To build skilled public health professionals capable of diagnosing population health problems, designing interventions, and strengthening health systems through evidence-based strategies.
Duration & Pedagogy
The programme commences annually in the first week of July. It is a comprehensive 4 year, full-time course comprising 160 credits spread across eight semesters. Our pedagogy is meticulously designed to prioritise experiential learning, integrating interactive classroom discussions with mandatory internships, field assignments, and research projects. The campus infrastructure is specifically crafted to foster a collaborative environment and promote seamless teamwork.

Eligibility Criteria
- Academic Qualification:Applicants must have successfully completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized educational board.
- Minimum Aggregate:A minimum of 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) is required in the qualifying examination.
- International Applicants: Candidates applying under the Foreign National, Non-Resident Indian (NRI), or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) categories must have completed an equivalent grade examination from a recognized international board or university outside India.
