Objectives
B.Sc. in Environment & Sustainability (BSc-ES Hons.) at DYPU’s School of Public Health is a full-time undergraduate programme of four years. It is an NEP 2020-compliant, interdisciplinary course which combines health, social sciences, engineering, and management to prepare students for careers addressing complex global environmental challenges.

The world faces a myriad of environmental challenges, including escalating pollution, unprecedented climate change, rapid urbanization, and poor waste management. A BSc in Environment and Sustainability provides students with a holistic and in-depth understanding of these complexities, empowering them to collaborate across disciplines and develop comprehensive solutions. Consequently, the demand for environmental science professionals is rising both locally and globally. Health departments, NGOs, environmental agencies, research institutions, and international organizations all require skilled specialists capable of designing evidence-based strategies and actions that drive tangible, ground-level change necessary to protect our planet
Duration & Pedagogy
BSc-ES Hons. is a 4-year, 160-credit full-time programme that begins every July and spans eight semesters. The curriculum prioritises experiential learning through interactive discussions, internships, field assignments, and research. Core themes of ethics, ecology, and communication are woven throughout to ensure a deep understanding of multi-stakeholder roles in sustainability.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the B.Sc. in Environment and Sustainability (BSc-ES Hons.) at DY Patil University (DYPU), candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Academic Qualification: Successful completion of 10+2(or equivalent) in any stream from a recognized board.
- Minimum Marks: A minimum aggregate score of 50%in the qualifying examination.
- International Candidates: Applicants categorized as Foreign Nationals, NRIs, or PIOs must have completed an equivalent grade examinationoutside of India.
